Tezpur Bar Association

was founded by Late Nabin Chandra Bose and Late Ramchandra Sen in 1859. Over time, it expanded with the inclusion of eminent members such as Late Lambodar Borah, Late Bodhnath Patangia, and Deshapran Lakshmidhar Sarmah, who contributed immensely to both the legal profession and Assamese society.

From a small group of six pleaders, the Association has evolved into a strong legal fraternity with over 700 members today.
